Smoke and Fire, LLC is a family owned business based in Southern NJ comprised of my father Phil Sr., my three uncles, Steve, Harry and Mike and me, Phil Jr.. We make custom knives, short swords, axes and other misc items. All our work is handmade whether it's forged or stock removal. Our group brings over 15 years of knife making experience.

 

It all started in my garage in late 2017, when I decided to start making knives after watching several episodes of Forged and Fire. I proceeded to build my first 2-burner forge and 2 x 72 grinder. My father and I would get together in this extremely small forge to make knives and smoke cigars.

 

The hobby quickly grew into a club where my three uncles joined in on occasion. In 2018 my father relocated to his new home and we were able to build a new larger forge.  At that point, the group of us would meet a few times a week. The club Smoke and Fire was born. Knowing we needed more equipment, we proceeded to build our own power hammer and 52-ton dual piston press. Both were designed with help from YouTube University and years of mechanical experience within our group.

After building a diverse inventory, we chose to take the club to the next level. In 2019 we made it official and created Smoke and Fire, LLC. We look forward to making you a custom knife, axe or a design of your own.
